Melanie's Home Page

This is my web page where I am experimenting with different text effects.

Sometimes you want to underline a word, and sometimes it is better to italicize it.

Personally, I like to both underline and italicize key words.

Making text bold is also cool too.

Besides using the bold command, one can adjust the font size as well.

I am going to make this sentence
really big!

Changing the color of the text is also fun too. Whee, I'm getting carried away!

Sometimes it's fun to change the font style as well.

LAB 3 USING EXERCISE FROM LAB 1

LAB 3 EXERCISE part 2

THIS CLASS IS GOING TO BE EXTREMELY CHALLENGING FOR ME. I CAN TYPE PAPERS ON THE WORD PROCESSOR AND I AM FAMILIAR WITH NAVIGATING THE WEB. BUT, I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT CREATING WEB PAGES. FOR THIS ASSIGNMENT I HAD A LOT OF TROUBLE UNDERSTANDING THE WHOLE FOLDER CONCEPT AND CREATING A FOLDER ON MY DISKETTE WAS NOT SOMETHING I HAD DONE BEFORE. I THINK I UNDERSTAND IT NOW THOUGH AFTER SEVERAL HOURS OF SCREAMING AT MY COMPUTER FOR NOT DOING WHAT I WANTED IT TO. I AM CURIOUS TO SEE HOW GOING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN MY IBM COMPATIBLE COMPUTER THAT I USE AT HOME AND THE MAC COMPUTERS AT USC IS GOING TO BE. I AM EXPECTING A PROBLEM BUT I HAVE THE NOTES ON HOW ONE DOES THIS SO HOPEFULLY I WILL BE ABLE TO INSTRUCT MY COMPUTER PROPERLY.
AFTER ALL, THE COMPUTER ONLY DOES WHATEVER I TELL IT TO.
